Ho Ho Ho!

Santa was very good to Etta this year- even after she rejected him.
Playing basketball with her Daddy. We're going to have to help her with this one for a while.
Reading the "Bums" book to her new monkey buddy.
Heading to "da zoo, da zoo". (I have no idea where she gets the idea that you should text, and carry your baby, and your diaper bag all at the same time.)
And lastly, Brent and Etta on my new bike.

Why go to the mall...

when you can traumatize your child in the comfort of your own home? (especially if it means you can leave on your fat pants.)

Wha Happen?

When Natalie and I were little we put on a "show" for our parents almost every night after the dinner dishes were done. It was always the same routine- set to the theme song for Green Acres. Our parents watched every night, applauding as much the first time as the 151 time.

Etta had us sit on the couch last night. She told Brent to, "get ina couch daddy". She proceeded to dance and sing on the hearth, clapping and saying "Yay" when each number was completed. I don't have video- yet. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. There was a lot of mumbling, and then maybe one word you could understand.

It went a little something like this:
"sumasumasumasuma wha happen?" (this was the intro to the song)
"Wha happen, wha happen, shakey shakey shakey, Yay!"

She's a lot of work, but she sure is a ton of fun.

Boots!

I know we have a lot of catching up to do, including the second half of our vacation in july and our move to San Diego. That will have to wait until I have finished the Christmas cards.

Etta stuffed herself into this pitcher in the bathroom the other morning and called it "boots".
